Denver’s Raw Breed successfully fuse a fierce hardcore bedrock with early 1990s groove-orientated European death metal to devastating effect.  Roared, guttural vocals accompany the doom-laden metallic riffs, Slayer-esque solos and crushing mid-paced breakdowns as the two styles are melded to brilliantly cohesive effect.  Lyrically the band adeptly explore the dehumanising impacts of late-stage capitalism, the power of collectivism to resist, and the militarisation of the police.
